Longford District Court hears of charges of theft and property damage

A mother accused of theft and property damage will return before Judge Bernadette Owens in early December.

Carol Myers (26) of 289 Daltown Park, Mullingar, Westmeath is charged with the theft of clothing valued at €42.98 the property of Miss Spirit, Longford on November 8 last, and damaging cosmetics valued at €149.97 the property of Cara Pharmacy on the same date.

The prosecution will allege that when the defendant was confronted by staff of Cara Pharmacy about the theft of perfume she threw it on the floor smashing it.

Ms Myers was remanded on continuing bail to appear in again on December 6.
