Annagh Lake Swimming Pool at Moyne have made their application to Longford County Council

The committee that runs Annagh Lake Swimming Pool at Moyne have applied to extend the time to complete development works approved for planning permission back in 2019.

The committee was granted permission to extend the car park at the facility, develop a walkway and recreational area almost five years ago.

The local group plans to install a new vehicular accessible boat slipway by converting an existing slipway into a facility that provides pedestrian access only.

The existing permission has provisions for a proposed walkway with low-level lighting, a recreational area, associated safety signage and safety measures.

In recent years the committee have removed hedgerows to improve existing sightlines as approved in their 2019 permission.

Longford County Council planners have indicated they should reach a decision by early April.
