Longford #LE24: Four elected and eight eliminated by 5am as Longford municipal district count adjourned to 12 noon on Monday

At 5am, after the completion of Count Eleven, the Longford Municipal District Count was adjourned until 12pm on Monday, June 10.

Candidates elected: Gerry Hagan, Martin Monaghan, Seamus Butler, and Peggy Nolan

Candidates eliminated: Dwain Schouten, Tony Reilly, Maura Greene-Casey, Dave Smyth, Alicia Carberry, Catherine Joseph, Gareth McKendry and Mujahid Manzoor.

There are six candidates still in the hunt for the final three seats with the favourites to fill them being Niall Gannon, Fine Gael (779), Uruemu Adejinmi, Fianna Fáil (617) and Kevin Hussey, Fianna Fáil (610).

James Donnelly of Sinn Féin (482) could also have a say and considering the drama there has been in both the Ballymahon and Granard counts, don't rule him out just yet.
