Longford's Conor Keenan has been selected as part of the New York squad that will take on Roscommon in the opening round of the 2026 Connacht GAA Senior Football Championship on Sunday, April 12 in Gaelic Park, NY.
Longford NY were crowned NY Junior A Champions during 2025 and 25-year-old Conor, the winner of two Longford intermediate county championship titles with Fr Manning Gaels in 2019 and 2024, was honoured as their Player of the Year.
Conor has inter-county experience with Longford and is the holder of two O'Byrne Cup medals.
Conor's home club Fr Manning Gaels have expressed their pride and extended congratulations to him.
"Well done to Conor Keenan who has made the New York squad for the opening round of the Connacht Championship next week against Roscommon.
"Conor is following in the distinguished footsteps of fellow Gaels men Des Dillon, Ciarán Gillooley and Pat McWade who all previously had the honour of playing intercounty football for New York, and we wish him the best of luck."
