A woman who paid €2,500 to charity had the charges against her struck out at Longford District Court.
Gwen Curley (26), 3 Knock Manor, Lanesboro, pleaded guilty to using a Stanley knife to scrape a parked vehicle, causing over €4,360 worth of damage.
The court was told that the offence took place on April 22, 2021 at Supervalu Carpark, Main St, Lanesboro.
Solicitor Frank Gearlty said his client had €2,500 in court. Describing the incident as an “unusual case” Mr Gearty said the offence was out of character for Ms Curley.
