An ornate pottery pig bought at Longford Indoor Market for €3 could prove to be very valuable, according a spokesman for Adam’s Auctioneers, as it is believed to be a highly saught-after item by Wemyss.

Colehill native Mark Bermingham is undertaking a seven-day trek from Dublin to Dingle by foot, bicycle and kayak. He is making the journey to raise funds for the Friends of St Luke’s Hospital, having lost his father to cancer in 2008.
