Footsteps & Folklore on the National Famine Way at Samhain will take place at Mosstown Harbour, Keenagh, on October 25

A LONGFORD event is set to bring together local storytellers Scéalta Beo and traditional singer Fionnuala Maxwell for an evening of storytelling, traditional song and live music.

Footsteps & Folklore on the National Famine Way at Samhain will take place at Mosstown Harbour, Keenagh, on Sunday at 5.30pm.

The storytelling draws inspiration from folklore recorded in the Schools’ Collection, including tales of the Fear Gorta, exploring hunger, memory and our connection to the landscape.

Tickets cost €5 per person, and the performance lasts around one hour. It is suitable for adults and families with children aged 10 and over.

With just 30 places available, advance booking is essential at nationalfamineway.ie.
