Uisce Eireann report water disruptions in areas around Longford

Uisce Eireann is reporting a water disruption in a number of areas around Longford from Monday, October 14.

The utility company and Longford County Council have informed the public that as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Prucklish, Newtown Forbes, Lanesborough, Newtowncashel, Longford Town and surrounding areas in County Longford.

The works are scheduled to take place from 10:00pm on Monday, October 14 until 4:00am on Tuesday, October 15.

The council also say that mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Cornadowna, Newtowncashel and surrounding areas in County Longford as part of works are scheduled to take place from 9am until midday on Monday, October 14.

In the statement Uisce Eireann say: “We recommend that you allow three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.”

Longford County Council have advised that the disruptions may includes traffic issues.
