Coach House Bar reopens just in time for Birr Vintage Week celebrations

There couldn't be a better time to rediscover one of Birr's favourite gathering places
There couldn't be a better time to rediscover one of Birr's favourite gathering places. Dooly's Hotel is delighted to welcome the local community and visitors alike back to the refreshed Coach House Bar, reopening just in time for the start of Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival.
Located in the heart of Birr, along the festival parade route, the Coach House has long been a place where friends, families and visitors come together. The latest refurbishment has transformed the area formerly known as the Coffee Shop, which has now been seamlessly incorporated into the Coach House, creating a larger, more contemporary space while retaining the warm atmosphere and friendly hospitality that generations of locals have come to know and love.
The reopening also marks the launch of an exciting new food and drinks offering. Guests can enjoy a brand-new Coach House menus featuring classic favourites alongside fresh new additions, carefully created to showcase quality local ingredients in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
To celebrate Birr Vintage Week, the team has created a special festival cocktail, the Camcor Capers, available exclusively throughout the week. Inspired by the spirit of Birr and named after the nearby River Camcor, this limited-edition cocktail offers the perfect way to toast one of the town's biggest celebrations.
Visitors can also enjoy the relaunch of the popular Light Bites Menu, served in the hotel's charming Bianconi Courtyard. Perfect for a relaxed lunch, a quick bite between festival events or an afternoon catch-up with friends, the refreshed menu offers a selection of delicious dishes designed for easy summer dining. The Light Bites Menu will continue to be available long after Vintage Week, giving both locals and visitors another reason to return and enjoy the Coach House throughout the season.
The celebrations continue on Sunday, 2nd August, as the Coach House welcomes festival-goers after the Vintage Week Parade with live music from local favourite Richie Prendergast, performing from 3.00pm. Whether you're stopping by after the parade, meeting friends for a drink or settling in for the afternoon, the Coach House promises a lively atmosphere in the very centre of the town's biggest day of the year.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome everyone back to the Coach House," said Barry Kennedy, the General Manager at Dooly's Hotel. "This refurbishment has allowed us to enhance the space while preserving the welcoming atmosphere that people know and love. Bringing the former Coffee Shop into the Coach House has created a more spacious and versatile venue, and we're delighted to unveil it as Birr comes together to celebrate Vintage Week."
The team at Dooly's Hotel looks forward to welcoming both familiar faces and first-time visitors to experience the refreshed Coach House throughout Vintage Week and beyond.
