Offaly motorist fined for driving with heavily tinted windows

A MAN who drove at night with tinted side windows was stopped at Harbour Street, Tullamore.

Giving evidence to the district court, Garda Patrick McGee said that on October 31, 2022 at 12.30am he stopped Denis Delaney,(36) of Ballina, Ballycumber.

The tinted side windows of his vehicle had a visibility of between 40% to 41%. The windows should have a visibility of 65%.

Mr Delaney had no previous convictions. He was fully cooperative Garda McGee said.

Solicitor Donal Farrelly said his client removed the tint when it was brought to his attention. Judge Andrew Cody fined Mr Delaney €300.
