Audi confirms £103,900 starting price for flagship Q9

Luxurious SUV gets a range of technological firsts.
Audi’s new Q9 has gone on sale in the UK with a starting price of £103,900.
The flagship SUV, which sits above the Q7 and Q8 in the brand’s range of high-riding models, arrives as Audi’s largest model ever. In total, it measures just over 5.3m long, 2.2m wide and 1.8m high.
From launch, the Q9 will come equipped with a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel V6 engine with mild-hybrid assistance, bringing an electric-powered compressor for improved throttle response. It’s all driven through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and permanent all-wheel-drive.

As standard, the Q9 comes in seven-seater specification with all rows getting electrical adjustment and heated elements. However, an optional Lounge Pack for top-spec Vorsprung-specification cars brings a six-seater configuration for a more business-class-like experience. All seats in this setup are ventilated and get massaging functions, too.
Initially, the Q9 will be available in Edition 1 and Vorsprung specifications. That first trim brings 22-inch wheels, a black styling pack and Matrix LED headlights, alongside adaptive air suspension and an opening panoramic sunroof with switchable transparency.

Vorsprung cars get even larger 23-inch alloy wheels, curved digital OLED rear lights and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. A full suite of assistance features, including adaptive cruise assist, 3D surround-view camera and automatic doors, are all equipped as standard too.
Prices for the Q9 start from £103,900 in Edition 1 trim, rising to £113,250 for the range-topping Vorsprung model. First deliveries are expected to commence in November.
