First examples are expected to arrive from September

Audi’s new Q7 has gone on sale in the UK ahead of first deliveries commencing in September.

The new seven-seater, which enters its third generation, starts at £81,665, while all versions benefit from a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine with mild-hybrid technology for improved efficiency.

In the UK, the Q7 will be offered in one of three specifications – S Line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung. Popular S Line trim kicks things off and brings features such as 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, alongside privacy glass and a powered boot. Inside, you’ll find a new 14.5-inch infotainment system, which sits alongside a 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 12.3-inch passenger display.

Move up to Edition 1 and the Q7 gains larger 22-inch Audi Sport wheels and a full black styling package for a more understated appearance. You also get red brake calipers and customisable headlight signatures. Inside, the interior gains full Nappa leather upholstery, while the front seats benefit from ventilation and massage functions. The second and third rows gain seat heating, too.

At the top of the range sits the Vorsprung, which gets pretty much every piece of equipment that Audi has to offer. Highlights include new 23-inch alloy wheels – which are the largest ever offered on a Q7 – alongside upgraded digital Matrix LED headlights. The Audi singleframe grille also gets illumination on the Vorsprung, while inside, a Bang & Olufsen sound system is fitted as standard, bringing 22 individual speakers throughout the car.

Prices for the new Q7 start from £81,665 in S Line trim, rising to £88,965 for the Edition 1 and topping out at £101,665 for the range-topping Vorsprung.
