McMurtry will reveal production-ready ‘Spéirling Pure’ electric hypercar next week

The prototype variant of the Spéirling has broken several lap records including the Goodwood Hill Climb and around the Top Gear Test Track.
McMurtry is set to unveil the production-ready variant of its record-breaking electric hypercar next week with the Spéirling Pure.
McMurtry is a British electric hypercar manufacturer that was founded by engineer Sir David McMurtry. Its first creation – the Spéirling Prototype – has gone on to break several lap records including the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hill Climb and around the famous Top Gear Test Track.
It has now been revealed that a production model is set to be revealed, which the manufacturer says “comprises 95 per cent new components compared to the prototype models.”

Details on the car’s exterior design have not been revealed at this stage; however it’s anticipated to receive a low and slippery body shape to improve aerodynamics and will use a large rear spoiler to create more downforce in the corners.
McMurtry has not announced the production car’s powertrain, though it’s likely to use the same setup found in the prototype model which is a 100kWh battery pack with a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 1,000bhp; can hit a top speed of 190mph and will go from 0-60mph in just 1.5 seconds.
More information on the car’s design, interior, powertrain and price will be revealed next week.
Just 100 examples of the McMurtry Spéirling Pure will be made with first customer deliveries expected to commence at the end of this year.
