APPEAL: Witnesses sought as two BMW are vehicles stolen from outside Clare home

Ennis gardaí are appealing to the public for information about what happened

Clare gardaí are investigating the theft of two high-powered vehicles from outside a property at Drumeen East in Ennis.

In an appeal, they say the theft took place sometime between 10pm on Thursday, June 5 and 8am the following morning.

"The owners parked their vehicles; a grey BMW X3 jeep and a black BMW X3 jeep outside their home and both vehicles were stolen," said Sergeant Catriona Holohan, crime prevention officer.

A garda investigation was launched after the vehicles were reported missing and both were subsequently located a number of days later in the Kilmaley area of County Clare.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing and Ennis gardaí are appealing for information about what happened.

"Did you see either of these two BMW X3 vehicles in your area since the night of Thursday, June 5? If you believe that you may have any information that could assist this investigation, please contact Ennis garda station on 065 6848100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111," said a spokesperson.

Gardai have not disclosed any further information relating to the circumstances which resulted in the vehicles being located.
