Teen accused of having drugs in Portlaoise

Court - Young Portlaoise man drunkenly abused gardaí

A teenager appeared in court accused of having drugs for sale or supply in Portlaoise. 

Lorcan O’Brien, 19, with an address at 47 Heather Lane, Esker Hills, Portlaoise is alleged to have had cannabis and ecstasy at his address on August 30 last. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby told a sitting of Portlaoise District Court that the alleged combined value of the drugs was €2,500.

Judge Andrew Cody remanded the defendant on continuing bail.

He granted legal aid and adjourned the case until October 19.
