Micheál Carrigy: 'I am fully supporting Simon Harris. His commitment to public service is evident and I’m proud to support him'

A Longford Senator is backing Simon Harris to become the next Fine Gael leader and Taoiseach.

Senator Micheál Carrigy this morning publicly declared who he is supporting in the FG leadership race following Leo Varadkar's shock announcement yesterday. 

Senator Carrigy posted on his Facebook page, "We now begin the process of selecting a new Fine Gael leader and Taoiseach. I am fully supporting Simon Harris TDHis commitment to public service is evident and I’m proud to support him."
