Gardaí renew their appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Louth

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Dunleer, Co Louth on Monday, 26th May 2025.

The collision between a pedestrian and a bus occurred at approximately 12:15pm at Main Street, Dunleer.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was transferred by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where she was later pronounced dead.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who were at Main Street, Dunleer, between 12:00pm and 12:30pm on Monday, 26th May and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
