Gardaí warn no 'Autobahn' in Ireland as driver arrested after being clocked at silly speed

Gardaí arrested a speeding driver and seized their car after clocking them doing an outrageous speed.

The car was recorded travelling at a whopping 169km/h in a 100km/h zone by gardai in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford last week.

In a post on social media, gardaí said: "The driver of this car is facing a lengthy disqualification for putting themselves and the public in danger, driving 169km/h in a 100km/h signposted speed limit area.

"Autobahn does not cross through Enniscorthy," gardaí quipped in the post.

The driver was arrested and is now facing court proceedings.
