Major supermarket retail chain is hiring 30 new staff members for its stores in Tipperary
Aldi has announced its intention to recruit over 30 team members in Tipperary.
Since its inception in the county in 2003, its store network has grown to encompass eight stores in Cahir, Clonmel, Carrick-on-Suir, Cashel, Nenagh, Roscrea, Thurles and Tipperary Town.
With 161 operational stores nationwide, it is currently employing almost 5,000 people across the country.
The recruitment drive comes on the heels of Aldi's commitment to adopting the recommendation of the Living Wage Technical Group in 2024.
This means that from February 1, the starting rate for store assistants and selectors increases to €14.80 per hour and reaffirming Aldi's dedication to its almost 5,000-strong employees and its commitment to delivering market-leading rates of pay. ALDI is the first supermarket in Ireland to adopt the Living Wage recommendations in 2024.
Recruitment across the country is currently underway for various roles, including positions at new stores as well as filling existing vacancies.
