Lucky Tipperary woman takes home €125,000 National Lottery prize

A Templemore woman claimed €125,000 in The National Lottery's 5-4-3-2-1 game.

The woman won €125,000 in the Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 game by matching five of the six winning numbers on a €1 Quick Pick ticket purchased at Lidl Templemore, from the Wednesday, October 23 draw.

“I was doing the usual weekly shop in Lidl, and I threw in a Quick Pick ticket before paying for the groceries. I didn’t look at it until the following day, it was just sitting at the end of my handbag. When I went to check the ticket the following day, I really had to look at the numbers a couple of times - I even checked the dates, I was sure I had the wrong numbers for the wrong draw.”

Her husband laughs, “I was asleep, and she came in to tell me that she’d won big money. She woke me up and ruined my night's sleep!”

The pair plan to let the news settle before deciding how to use their winnings for their future.
