Weather expert pinpoints when we can expect return to glorious high temperatures

Meanwhile, Met Éireann has forecast a wet and miserable weekend in their latest forecast
There's more rain on the way this weekend according to Met Éireann's latest weather forecast, although hope is not lost for Ireland's summer.
It looks like we're stuck with wet and warm weather for the next few days as per the latest forecast, with temperatures set to stay in the high teens and low 20s.
However, Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel has predicted that we may see a U-turn in this dreary weather spell in the near future.
In a post on social media, the weather expert said: "There are some tentative signs now emerging that we may see high pressure build back closer to Ireland to start the month of August, with something a little more summer like possible at that stage."
Here is Met Éireann's forecast for the coming days.
Friday night will be dry in most places, although counties along the Atlantic coast will see some showers. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Saturday will have a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of these showers could turn heavy later in the day. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
Saturday night will be generally dry in most areas, however outbreaks of rain will move into northern and western areas. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
Sunday will be a similar day with more sunny spells and scattered showers which could turn heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.
Sunday night will be mostly dry and clear with the possibility of isolated showers in Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Monday will be off to a brighter start although cloud will start to develop as the day moves on, bringing more scattered showers. It'll be a damp and wet day for western counties. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
