28-year-old woman returned for trial on series of drug charges

A 28-year-old woman has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.

The woman who had been granted anonymity appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today. 

She faced a total of 12 charges including possessing class A, B and C drugs with intent to supply on on various dates in February and March this year. 

She was also charged with possessing the drugs on the same date and offering to supply some of them. 

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

The woman said she did not want to make any statement or call any witnesses at this stage. 

She was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 11 and remanded in custody.
