Bail denied for Derry woman facing assault and harassment charges

Naomi Graham (43) was deemed too volatile to appear in person at Derry Magistrate's Court
A woman who the court was 'too volatile' to appear in person has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with assault and threats to kill.
Naomi Graham (43) of Rockmills in Derry faced a number of charges that were said to have occurred on June 22.
These include two charges of threats to kill, assault and harassment.
The court heard that police received a 999 call from the alleged injured party saying the defendant had entered her property demanding money.
The woman was not there at the time but her four children, two grown up children of 21 and 19, and a 14-year-old child and a two-year-old grandchildren were present.
The daughter of the house said that Graham was 'unpredictable' and said 'you all owe me £2,000.'
Graham was also alleged to have told the children she would kill their mother and father.
When the reporting party arrived Graham was said to have refused to leave saying she was owed money and had to be escorted out by police.
Police were told the two women did occasionally lend each other money.
The alleged victim said that a campaign of harassment had been ongoing for about three weeks with voicemails and the like.
At interview Graham said she was a regular visitor and had let herself in to charge her phone but accepted she refused to leave.
Bail was opposed due to the risk of reoffending as Graham has 30 previous convictions and also that the address was unsuitable.
Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said the matter was 'slightly more nuanced' than had been outlined.
He told the court that Graham was in a relationship with a relative of the alleged victim and was going to visit him.
The solicitor said that his client accepted her behaviour had 'got out of hand'.
Bail was refused and Graham was remanded in custody to appear again on July 16.
