Mums, dads and babies came out in force for a special fundraising event in Eglinton last weekend.

A charity ‘pramathon’ took place on Saturday in the village.

The event was organised to raise money for TinyLife, Northern Ireland's premature and vulnerable baby charity.

The charity is dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in babies born here.

The local event was hosted by Eglinton Eyecare and around 70 people took part in the sponsored walk through the village.

Most of the participants were new mothers with babies as well as locals living in the village.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “We raised a total of £600 and all monies raised went to Tiny Life in support of families of pre-mature babies.

“Each walker received a goodie bag and refreshments after the walk. Thank you to Tesco Limavady for the refreshments; all the donations; and to everyone who took part and who volunteered on the day.”
