Daniel and Majella a hit for UTV

As they head off on a luxury cruise, Daniel and Majella will be celebrating the runaway success of their UTV series.

Daniel & Majella's B&B Road Trip was the hit of the year for UTV Ireland, and came in fourth in their top 20 shows for 2015.

The six-part series hammered top-billed shows such as The Brit Awards and Pat Kenny In The Round.

Drawing in 335,100 viewers on average, the show held a 20% share on the Irish television market on Monday night.

The station is hopeful the O'Donnells will sprinkle a little more magic and come back for a second series.

For now, the couple will relax on their round the world cruise.
