Brian Robert Alexander (Barney) Beggs, 36 Church Brae, Altnagelvin, Derry
The death has occurred of Brian Robert Alexander (Barney) Beggs (ex RUC), 21st July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 86th year) much loved and devoted husband of Onagh, loving father of Elaine and Trevor, dear father-in-law of Derek and Jackie, adored granda of Mark, Amy, Jamie and Charlotte, dearest brother of Daisy (Canada). Funeral leaving his late home, 36 Church Brae, Altnagelvin on Tuesday, 25th July, at 12.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in All Saints’ Parish Church at 1.00pm followed by burial in St. Swithin Parish Church Burial Ground, Magherafelt. (arrival time approximately 3.45pm) House Private. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Dogs Trust or Foyle Branch of Parkinson’s c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Everyone is welcome to call at D & R Hay & Sons, Funeral Home and pay their respects to Barney on Monday, 24th July from 12.00noon until 2.00pm and evening time from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Very deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Nearer my God to Thee.
Mandy Bradley, Derry
The death has taken place of Mandy Bradley, 23rd July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved daughter of Dolly Murphy and the late Mickey Bradley, loving sister of Michael, dear sister-in-law to Finneen, devoted auntie to Brénainn, Niall, Holly, Bobby and Mikey, cherished best friend of Teresa Peoples. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and her many friends. Viewing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, 31 William Street, on Monday, 24th July from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and on Tuesday, 25th July from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Removal leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home at 4.00pm on Tuesday to the Carmelite Retreat Centre, Termonbacca to repose overnight. Viewing there from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Removal leaving there at 11.20am on Wednesday, 26th July to St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass at 12:00noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Myrtle Coates (née McCready), 60 Shearwater Way, Derry
The death has taken place of Myrtle Coates (née McCready), 23rd July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late James, late of 60 Shearwater Way, loving mother of Walter, Geoffrey, Corrine and the late Diane dear mother in law of Lorraine and Murray, devoted grandmother of Kirk, Dale, Lucy, Nathan, Dale, Ember, Ellee and Roma and a much loved great grandmother. Funeral service in her Daughter Corrines home, 5 Riverside Park at 11.00am on Wednesday, 26th July followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Ward 44 Altnagelvin hospital c/o The cash office Altnagelvin hospital. Deeply regretted by her loving family circle. The Lord is my Shepherd.
Hugh Gaile, 450 Seacoast Road, Magilligan
The death has occurred of Hugh Gaile, 23rd July 2023, (peacefully) surrounded by his family, husband of the late Margaret and loving father of Avaline, Richard, Mark, Charlene, and the late Darrell. Dear brother of Helen, Mary, Annie, Gerard, John, Patrick, Paul, and the late James. Funeral from the family home, 450 Seacoast Road, Magilligan, on Wednesday, 26th July at 10.15am for 11o clock Requiem Mass in St Aidans Church, Magilligan. Interment afterwards in adjoining churchyard. On his soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, and family circle. Family flowers only.
