The following deaths have occurred:-
Priscilla Crothers (née Goddard), 14 Fulton Park, Limavady
The death has taken place of Priscilla Crothers (née Goddard), 24th February 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital and late of 14 Fulton Park, Limavady. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Devoted mother of Heather and Nicole, grandmother of Jude, Jessica, and Keatin. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Family and friends welcome at O’Brien’s of Limavady funeral home 10 Ballyclose Street, Limavady on Saturday from 4.00pm to 6.00pm and Sunday from 12noon to 2.00pm. Funeral service in O’Brien’s of Limavady funeral home on Monday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Enagh Cemetery. The Lord is my Shepherd.
Phonsie Cunningham, 20 Inishowen Gardens, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Phonsie Cunningham, peacefully at his home, surrounded by all of his loving family on 24th February 2023. Late of 20 Inishowen Gardens. Beloved husband of the late Mary. Devoted father of Ann, Helen, Daniel, Vinny, Jim, Maria, Louise and Leeanne. Loving granda and great-granda to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of Billy and the late Mick, Rosaleen, Bridie and Joe. A much loved father-in-law. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Phonsie's remains will be reposing at his late family home, 20 Inishowen Gardens. His wake will commence from 1.00pm today (Saturday 25th February). Funeral leaving from there on Monday, 27th February at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Joseph (Joe) Curran, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Joseph (Joe) Curran, (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family on 23rd February 2023. Late of Dungiven and formerly Greysteel. Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Joelene, Denise, Janette and Sheena. Devoted grandfather of Lauren, Mia, Kelsey , Brooke, Tiernan, Liam, Maddie and Harry. Loving son of the late Mary and Joe R.I.P and dear brother of Paddy, Peter, Bridget, Laurence, Felix, Margaret, Sally, Patricia and the late Kathleen, Teresa and Leonard R.I.P. Deeply regretted by his sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and the entire family circle. Reposing at the family home, 17 Kevin Lynch Park, Dungiven.
Funeral on Sunday, 26th February leaving his late home at 1.00pm for 1.30pm Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Colette Doherty (née Porter), Lower Garden City, Derry
The death has taken place of Colette Doherty (née Porter), 24th February 2023, beloved wife of the late John, formerly of Lower Garden City, loving mother of Sara, Breda, Sean, Mike and Stephanie, devoted grandmother of Caoilfhionn, Ailse, Michael, Laragh and Hannah and great-grandmother of Aoibheann. Colette’s wake will take place in her daughter’s home, 10 Troy Park, Derry, BT48 7RL on Saturday from 3.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral from there on Sunday at 9.20am for 10.15am Funeral Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung, Co Donegal. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Neville Forsythe, 51 Cookstown Road, Moneymore
The death has taken place of Neville Forsythe, 23rd February 2023, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, Neville, dearly beloved and devoted husband of Marian, 51 Cookstown Road, Moneymore, much loved father of Wendy, Ivan, Gary and the late Keith and also a loving father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family and friends welcome at his home. A service of thanksgiving for Neville’s life will be held in 1st Moneymore Presbyterian Church on Sunday, 26th February at 3.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. The death has taken place of Ellen (Nellie) Glass (née McEldowney, 24th February 2023, beloved wife of the late Mick and loving mother of James, Michael, Moira Mhic Giolla Bhrighde, Francis, Bernie Gray, Helena Convery, Barry and Oliveen, mother in law of Margaret, Anne, Annemarie, John, Sean, Andrea and the late Lughaidh, dear sister of Kathleen, Margaret and the late Fr. Michael, Bridget, Frankie and Bernie. Kevin Hinds, 39 Belmont Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of Kevin Hinds, 24th February 2023, (peacefully) at home, beloved husband ofSally, 39 Belmont Crescent, loving father of Tom, Colm and Dan and dear brother of Paul, Kathleen, Mary and the late Joan. Loved and sadly missed by all his wider family and friends. Kevin's wake will take please in his home on Saturday and Sunday from 12.00pm to 6.00pm. House private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral. Funeral service will take place in the Cornerstone City Church, (old Channel 9 Building - enter from Duke Street) on Monday at 12o'clock. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
John (Seamie) Murphy, 11 Rossville Street, Derry
The death has taken place of John (Seamie) Murphy, 23rd February 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 11 Rossville Street, surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Dolores, loving father of Timothy, Michelle, Margaret and Seanie, devoted grandfather of Cayden, Emma, Eddie, Dean, Ada, Kayleigh, Amy-Lee, Adam, Corragh, Shauneen, Freddie and Gracie, and great-grandfather of Sophia, dear son of the late Ted and Maureen, loving brother of David, Teddy, Babs and the late Peter, father-in-law to Orlaugh, Kieran, Liam and Kerri. Funeral leaving his home on Monday, 27th February at 9.20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
