Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Alice Maud Harper, Limavady
The death has occurred of Alice Maud Harper, (peacefully) passed away at Cornfield Care Centre on 24th December 2022. Much loved wife of the late James, devoted mother of Alistair (Iris), Brian (Heather), Freda (Owen) and Rosemary (Chris). Also a loving grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral service will be held in Christ Church, Limavady on Tuesday, 27th December at 11.00am followed by private family burial. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired and cheques payable to NW Animal Welfare group and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors. 21 Aghanloo Ind Est, Aghanloo Road, Limavady BT49 0HE. Close friends and family welcome at her son Alistair's home, 119 Whitehill Park, Limavady. On Monday from 1.00pm to 5.00pm and 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle.
Eileen Mellon (née Mullan), 5 Chapel Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Eileen Mellon (née Mullan), (suddenly but peacefully) at her home on 24th December 2022, late of 5 Chapel Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved wife of Colm and loving mother of Michael, Claire and Nicola, devoted grandmother of Lauren, Caitlín, Dylan, Charlie and Michael. Loving daughter of the late Michael and Maryanne R.I.P and dear sister of Anna McNicholl and the late Michael and Mary R.I.P. Wake and funeral arrangements later. Deeply regretted by all her loving family and the entire family circle. Our Lady of Knock pray for her.
Hannah McAllister (née Crawford), 11 Drumkil Gardens, Kilrea
The death has taken place of Hannah McAllister (née Crawford), 24th December 2022, (peacefully) at hospital, late of 11 Drumkil Gardens. Beloved wife of the late Dan; loving mother of Patricia (Hamilton) and the late Kevin; mother-in-law of Sean and Helen and much adored Granny of Daniel, Olivia, Ryan and Conor. Daughter of the late Hugh and Nellie and dear sister of Hugh and Mary Ellen and the late Winnie, Jack, Jinny, Bridie, Jimmy, Gusty, Katie and Kevin. N.B. Hannah will be reposing in her daughter Patricia’s residence, 1 Beechgrove, Kilrea from 5.00pm on Christmas Day. Everyone welcome to call. Family time from 10.00pm - 12noon. Funeral from her daughter Patricia’s residence, on Tuesday at 10.20am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumagarner followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. St. Pio pray for Her. Deeply regretted by the entire McAllister and Crawford family circle. No flowers please. Paul McCauley, 10 Quarry Street, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Paul McCauley, (suddenly) at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast on 23rd December 2022, late of 10 Quarry Street. Devoted husband of Una. Loving father of Rhianna. Beloved son of Margaret and the late Tom. A much loved brother of Gary and Declan. Dearest brother-in-law of Denise, Shauna, Nuala, Einri, Donna and Paul. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Paul's remains will be reposing at his mother Margaret’s residence, 33 St. Brigid’s Avenue, from approx. 5.00pm on Monday, 26th December. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, 28th December at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Burial immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Dermie McClenaghan, 35 Glenmore Drive, Derry
The death has occurredof Dermie McClenaghan, 23rd December 2022, (peacefully) at his home, 35 Glenmore Drive, (Civil Rights Activist and Socialist), beloved husband of Pauline, loving brother of the late Briege and Bernie, dear brother-in-law to Brian, Michael, Una, Monica and Martin, loving uncle to his niece and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Family time from 10.00pm to 12noon. Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday, 27th December at 9.20am to St. Columb’s Hall for funeral service at 10.00am followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan. At Rest.
