The following deaths have occurred:-
Ethel Gregg, 2 Brough Terrace, Castledawson
The death has taken place of Ethel Gregg, 21st March 2023, (peacefully) at the Macmillian Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, 2 Brough Terrace, Castledawson, dearest partner of the late John (Boyle), much loved and devoted mother of Nigel, Jonathan and the late Siobhan, dearest sister of Vera and Frank and the late Tommy and also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. House private. Family and close friends welcome at her home. Funeral from home on Saturday, 25th March at 10.15am for service in Christ Church Castledawson at 11.00am approx., followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Lovingly remembered by her family and the entire family circle. Loved with an everlasting love.
Ellen Laverty, 2 Cloonavin Green, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Ellen Laverty, 21st March 2023, (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital, late of 2 Cloonavin Green, Coleraine. Dearly loved by all her nieces and nephews. Service of Committal at St. Colman’s Parish Churchyard, Derrykeighan, on Friday at 1.30pm. Lovingly remembered by all her family.
Michael (Mickey) McGill, formerly Derry
The death has taken place of Michael (Mickey) McGill, 3rd March 2023, (suddenly but peacefully) at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, England. Michael, formerly from Derry, husband of the late Mary, beloved son of the late Agnes and Frank McGill, brother of Genevieve, Lyn, Alex, Robert, Theresa and the late Jim. Loving father of Karin, Gary, Colin and the late Linda. Grandfather of Lauren, Jessica, Chloe, Adam, Daniel and Jack and great-grandfather of Aida. Loved and missed by the entire family circle. May he rest in peace.
Leo O'Kane, 12 Anderson Crescent, Limavady
The death has taken place of Leo O'Kane, 22nd March 2023, beloved husband of Susie, 12 Anderson Crescent, Limavady, loving father of Brian, Sharon, Marie and Leona, father-in-law of Mary, Trevor and Terence, devoted grandfather of Christopher, Adam, Sinead, Lauren, Kerry, Anna and the late Ciarán and dear brother of Eileen, Grace, Joan and the late Maureen, Susie, Willie, Kathleen and Bridie. Leo’s wake will take place in his son’s home, 79 Shanreagh Park, Limavady on Thursday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Friday at 1.30pm for 2o’clock Requiem Mass in Christ The King Church, Limavady. Interment afterwards in St Finlough’s Cemetery, Ballykelly. St Padre Pio intercede for him.
Ita Patton (née Boyle), 6 Rossbay, Derry
The death has taken place of Ita Patton (née Boyle), 21st March 2023, (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of Jim, 6 Rossbay, loving mother of Aine, Finola, Mark, Bronwyn and Niall, mother-in-law of Thomas, Pat, Briedge, Yanni and Liz, devoted granny of Adam, Luke, Joshua, Sophie, Yanni, Oscar, Reuben, Rebecca, Anna, Tristan, Saskia, Johnathon and Ellie and dear sister of Dympna, Bridie, Patricia and the late Maura, Margaret, Claire and Pat. Ita’s remains will be reposing in her home on Thursday from 12noon to 8.30pm. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Karen Lynne Ramsey, Derry
The death has taken place of Karen Lynne Ramsey, 22nd March 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital. Dearly beloved mother of Michael and Max and a loving daughter of Stewart and Andrena. A much-loved sister of Gavin, sister-in-law of Jennifer and loving aunt of Holly and Thomas. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, 25th March 2023 at 11.30am in Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Glendermott Presbyterian Church Burial Ground. Family flowers only, Donations in lieu of Flowers to Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church Repair Fund c/o Rev Ross Kernohan, 59 Limavady Road, BT47 6LR Karen will be sadly missed by her entire family circle and friends.
