The following deaths have occurred:-
Liam Barr, 8 Carrickreagh Gardens, Derry
The death has taken place of Liam Barr, 10th December 2023, beloved husband of Marie, 19 Creggan Heights, loving father of Grace, Martin, Brian and Nicole, cherished son of the late Brian and Josie Barr and a much loved grandfather and brother. His remains will be reposing in the family home, 8 Carrickreagh Gardens. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.30am for funeral service in Derry, Donegal Christian Fellowship, Northland Road at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. John Bateson, 11 Park View, Castledawson
The death has taken place of John Bateson, 11th December 2023, cherished husband of Pat and loving father of Stephen, Aisling (Murphy) and Kevin, adored grandfather of Nathan and Caolan. Son of the late Eddie and Mary, dear brother of Henry, Sara, Sam, Martin, Anne, Margaret, Sharon, Katrina and his late twin Eddie. Funeral from his home, 11 Park View, Castledawson on Wednesday, 13th December at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Trea Newbridge and interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Loved and sorely missed by his wife, sons, daughter, daughter in law Geardine, son in law Danny, grandsons, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Family flowers only please. Michael Crilly, 119 Shanreagh Park, Limavady
The death has taken place of Michael Crilly (Limavady, formerly Straw, Draperstown), 10th December 2023, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, dearly beloved husband of the late Eileen and loving father of Michelle (Duffy), Leona (Campbell), Aileen (Mc Kee), Catriona (Hull), Rosey (Cowdry), Uncle of Michael and John, brother of the late Mary, Joe and Rosie (Conville). Funeral on Tuesday, 12th December 2023 from his late residence, 119 Shanreagh Park, Limavady BT49 0SG at 10.30am for 11o'clock Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Limavady. Interment immediately afterwards in St Mary's Church Cemetery. Very deeply regretted by his loving daughters, sons-in-law Hugh, Liam, Nicky, Pascal and Lee, his 16 Grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law,nephews, nieces and extended family circle. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of James Aloysius “Wishie“ Feeney peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 11th December 2023 in his 94th year. May he rest in peace. Late of 211 Altinure Road, Park, Claudy, Co Derry, BT47 4DG. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen R.I.P and loving father of Carol, Mary, James, Gabriel, Vincent, Viona, Eamon, Gareth, Leonard, Audrey, Valerie and the late Martina R.I.P. Son of the late James and Susan Feeney and dear brother of Peter, Susie, Vincent, Dorothy and the late John, Mary, Charlie, Michael and Anthony R.I.P. Deeply regretted and will be sorely missed by all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the entire family circle. Reposing at his late home. Christina (Teenie) Hanna, 5 College Crescent, Coleraine
The death has occurred of the late Christina (Teenie) Hanna, 10th December 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 5 College Crescent, Coleraine. Dearly beloved wife of the late William (Willie), much loved mother of Diane, Robert and Rosalind, mother-in-law to William, Donna and Mark, devoted grandmother of Hannah, Adrian and Matthew and great-grandmother of Harriet. Service in Killowen Parish Church on Thursday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Rita Harkin (née Canning), Northland Road, Derry (formerly of Southend Park)
The death has taken place of Rita Harkin (née Canning), 8th December 2023, peacefully at Templemoyle Nursing Home, (late of Northland Drive, formerly of Southend Park), beloved wife of the late Tommy, loving mother of John, Danny, Teresa, Adrian, Kevin, Ray, Colum and the late baby Stephen, dear mother-in-law to Margo, Teeny, Sharon, Paula, Julie and Kevin and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister of the late Bill, John, Denis, Dan, Sadie, Jinny, Bridie and Claire, a dear aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Rita will be reposing at her son Danny's home, 58 Beragh Hill Road. Funeral leaving 58 Beragh Hill Road on Wednesday, 13th December at 9.20am to St. Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. St. Pio intercede for her. Denise McFeely, 20 Carnhill, Derry
The death has taken place of Denise McFeely, 10th December 2023, loving mother of Kevin and Caolan, mother-in-law of Nicola, devoted grandmother of Farrah, Roma and Eunan and dear sister of Christopher and the late Anthea. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 420 Carnhill. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 12.30pm for 1o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Robert James (Robbie) Snodgrass, Derry
The death has occurred of Robert James (Robbie) Snodgrass, 11th December 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 83rd year), dear son of the late Annie and Tommy, much loved brother of Thomas, Sandra, Margaret, Carol, David and Ivan, adored brother-in-law of Margaret, Ronnie, Yvonne, Ruth and the late Bruce and Billy, a cherished uncle, neighbour and friend. Funeral leaving D & R Hay and Sons Funeral Home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Wednesday, 13th December at 1.30pm followed by a service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.
