Derry man accused of abducting child in care granted bail

A Derry man accused of abducting a child based in a care home was today granted bail at the city’s Magistrates Court.
Christopher Harley (29), of Kular Court, was released with strict conditions.
Granting bail, Deputy District Judge Laura Ivers warned the defendant any breach of bail conditions would result in “very serious consequences”.
Harley is subject to a curfew between 9.00pm-7.00am, he must not enter licensed premises, must submit to a preliminary breath test if required, must co-operate with a police Viper identification procedure, and must have no contact with anyone under 18 years of age.
He was granted his own bail of £250 to appear before court again on January 12 next.
