A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with domestic abuse offences.
Brian McClean (36) of Waterloo Place in Derry was charged non fatal strangulation of a female on March 23.
He was also charged with two counts of criminal damage, making threats to kill, assaulting a female and carrying out a course of action deemed to be domestic abuse on dates in March.
A police officer connected the accused to the charges and there was no objection to bail.
McClean was released on his own bail with conditions that he has no contact with the alleged injured party in the case.
He will appear again on June 10.
