A man who was due to appear in Derry Magistrates Court had his appearance rescheduled after the court was told he had stripped naked in the holding cell and refused to get dressed again.
Connlan Boyle (19) of Carrabane Walk in Derry was due to appear on charges of stealing £189 worth of clothes from DV8 and two counts of assaulting police on June 27 this year.
When his case was called today a prison officer said that when he was placed in the holding cell prior to his court appearance he had stripped naked and refused to get dressed again and had been taken back to his cell.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that there was not a lot that could be said or done and the case was adjourned until later this month.
