Derry Magistrate's Court heard today that there was 'extensive disclosure' required in the case of a man charged in connection with an assault on a local business man during the annual Apprentice Boys parade.
Ian Knipe (47) of Wentworth Green in Portadown faces one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on August 12 last.
The case had been set for today to fix a date for contest but a defence solicitor for Knipe said that they were waiting for disclosure in the case.
He said that based on that disclosure there could be another application from the defence.
A prosecution solicitor said that there were eight witnesses in the case although she believed some of them could be agreed.
The defence solicitor said that he believed he required all the witnesses to attend as 'there was a dispute over the injuries'.
Deputy District Judge Liam McStay said that he believed a date could be fixed for contest and adjourned the case for a review on August 8.
