Extra resources brought in to ease pressure on Out of Hours service at Altnagelvin Hospital

Extra resources have been deployed at the Out of Hours department at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry which is struggling to cope with an increase in demand for its services over the Easter period.

Dr Tom Black, of the British Medical Association General Practitioners Committee in Northern Ireland, warned the problem will get worse unless more funding was granted to employ more GPs.
