Hearing Loss Charity Recruiting for a Tinnitus Support Officer for County Derry

Action On Hearing Loss is recruiting for a part-time Tinnitus Support Officer to cover the County Derry region. The role is 21 hours a week and the salary is £23,000 a year.

Action On Hearing Loss is the new name for the RNID. It works for a world where hearing loss doesn't limit people or label them. It promotes greater conversation around tinnitus and it encourages everyone to look after their hearing.

As a Tinnitus Support Officer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of local tinnitus services in County Derry. You will work with people who have tinnitus with the primary aim of reducing the distress and isolation that people with tinnitus face.

Action On Hearing Loss is looking for a candidate who has knowledge of tinnitus. They also want someone who has experience providing support and information to a wide range of audiences.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are also required, as is a genuine interest in working with people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who have tinnitus.

You should also be friendly and approachable as well as being good at listening and making people feel at ease.
