Institute will face Ballymena in the promotion-relegation play-off for a chance to return to the Irish Premiership after a fantastic victory over Portadown.
Kevin Deery's side needed to win and hoped that Bangor and Annagh cancelled each other out, and that's exactly what happened.
Michael Harris' late goal ensured that the 'Stute players did what was asked of them and with news coming through that Bangor had held Annagh to a 0-0 draw, it means that 'Stute, who finished second bottom of the Championship last season, finish second from top this time around.
They are now just two games from returning to the top flight, from which they were controversially relegated back in 2020.
