The Irish government have announced that they have decided to build a wall on the Derry-Donegal border as a result of Brexit.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the idea was given to him by Donald Trump during his recent visit to America.

He said that Mr Trump told him it would be 'a great wall, the best wall, everyone will love the wall' and that he should work to 'combat fake news across Ireland'.

When Mr Kenny asked Trump how Ireland would pay for the wall he told him 'don't worry, it will be great'.

Mr Kenny made the announcement this morning at a special April Fool's Day press conference in Dublin.
