Police renew appeal for witnesses following crash that claimed life of mum-of-two

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the Moneymore Road, Cookstown at its junction with the Tamlaghtmore Road. Mrs Bernadette McNicholl from Moneymore died following the one vehicle RTC in the early hours of Sunday 12 April. The accident occurred at approximately 2.35 am.

Inspector Rory Hoy said, “I appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a red Renault Clio. We are also keen to speak to anyone who was walking on the Moneymore Road, Cookstown between 2 am and 2.35 am or has any information in relation to the accident, to please contact us at Cookstown on 101." Three men aged 27, 20 and 18 were arrested on the morning of Sunday 12 April. They were all later released on bail pending further enquiries.
