£18,000 digger stolen from Magherafelt business

An £18,000 digger has been stolen in County Derry.

Police in Magherafelt are investigating the theft of a digger from the Meadowbank Road area between 2pm on Saturday, April 12, and 9.30 am on Monday, April 14.

The digger (pictured above) is an orange 12 ton Hitachi digger, model EX 120-5 serial number IE850178 and is valued at £18000.

There is a company name on the rear and side.

Police would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw any suspicious activity or noticed the digger being transported between the dates and times to contact police at Magherafelt PSNI on the new non emergency number 101 or alternatively contact Crimestopper on 0800 555 111.
