Storm alert for Ireland and the UK this weekend

According to Donegal Weather Channel, a much stronger storm than last week's Clodagh will hit our shores this weekend.

The storm will impact both Ireland and the UK, where the winds will be strongest with gusts of up to 130km/hr.

As well as strong winds, Friday will also see very heavy rainfall with spot flooding in some areas.

We could be looking at a red warning which, when we had similar weather at the start of the year, resulted in schools being shut down due to it being unsafe to be outside in such conditions.
