Terror charges dropped against leading Derry dissident republican

Charges against a leading Derry dissident republican under the Counter Terrorism legislation have been withdrawn at the local Magistrate's Court today.

Thomas Ashe Mellon (47) of Rathmor Road in Derry had been charged with failing to notify police of details under the Counter Terrorism legislation on December 9 and December 22, 2022.

At today's sitting a prosecutor told the court that the charges were being withdrawn. 

No explanation or no other details were given to the court.
