Weather delays opening of Maritime Festival until 3pm today

Derry City and Strabane District Council has issued an update on the Foyle Maritime Festival.

It said: “Due to adverse weather conditions today, there will be a delay in the opening of the Foyle Maritime Festival for the safety of our visitors, staff, and participants.

“We plan to open today at 3pm, although we will review the situation at 1pm and do our very best to have everything up and running earlier if conditions allow.

“Please keep an eye on our social media channels for a further update at lunchtime. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe.”
