Audit and repair called for Castlefinn bridge traffic lights

Cllr Gary Doherty called for an audit of the traffic lights in Castlefinn during Wednesday’s Lifford-Stranorlar MD meeting.

The traffic lights at the bridge in Castlefinn have recently experienced recurring faults, such as getting stuck on red or going out of order completely.

“What is the actual issue with the lights?” Cllr Doherty asked in the morning meeting. “They don’t work correctly, and locals are sick to death sitting on either side of the bridge.

“They’re not fit for purpose at all. I would like to request that we get a full audit on those lights, and then take it from there as to how we go about repairing them.”
