Calls for resurfacing works made on Ballybofey car park

Resurfacing a major Ballybofey car park has again been called for.

Cllr Martin Scanlon raised the issue at the Lifford-Stranorlar MD meeting, calling for works to be carried out to improve the car park at the shopping centre.

Despite Councillors being informed of no funding for the issue in the previous meeting, Cllr Scanlon still pushes for improvements.

“I’m asking about the Ballybofey car park and the resurfacing and realigning of it. Have we got anything there?” he asked.

In response to this, alongside other issues brought up by members, Claire McGeever, the council's Area Engineer, said, “Things do take time, and they need to go through processes and get examined and then go forward for funding… but we do take these on board.”
