A chef has appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to handling stolen property as a restaurant in Bundoran.

Marcus Cullen, aged 36, appeared at Donegal Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to the single charge under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.

Cullen, of East Rock, Ballyshannon, pleaded to handling stolen property, namely two €50 notes, at the Blue Leak Restaurant on Main Street in Bundoran on July 18th, 2019.

Cullen's barrister, Mr Peter Nolan BL, said he was seeking a probation and welfare report on his client.

Judge John Aylmer agreed to the request and adjourned the case until December.
