Great Pollet Sea Arch: Yet another first time visit to a great attraction right on our doorstep. I had heard it was awkward to reach but it was way more awkward than I expected, although we did see a few people coming along a different route by the shore from Doagh Beg so maybe the Google maps route isn't the best. It's not far from Fanad Lighthouse so if going there I'd also recommend checking out the arch.

Harry Blaney Bridge: This bridge has probably done wonders for the tourism trade of Rosguill and Fanad since it was finished in 2008, and its always a fun drive on a windy day!

Lough Derg: There were no ferries to the island itself but The Sanctuary of St Patrick is still an impressive sight from the shores of Lough Derg. According to legend St Patrick's Purgatory has been an ancient pilgrimage site since the fifth century when its said Christ showed St Patrick a cave on Station Island that was an entrance into purgatory, after apparently St Patrick grew tired of the scepticism of the Irish and had asked god to send him a signal.

Miler McGrath Castle: This castle, just outside Pettigo, was home to Miler McGrath who for 9 years was somehow both a Catholic and a Protestant Bishop, and ended up unpopular on both sides. He was known as a greedy man and was twice called to London by Queen Elizabeth to account for allegations against him and both times ended up coming back with more lands than he had went with.
