This cherished event - on Thursday evening, December 12, at 6:30pm - promises to be a magical evening filled with the warmth and wonder of the festive season.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of St. Connell’s Church, the Nativity service is an opportunity for everyone to pause, reflect, and embrace the true spirit of Christmas. Featuring the talented children of Scoil Mhuire, the service is sure to include heartfelt performances, uplifting carols, and a joyous retelling of the Christmas story.

After the service, the celebration continues at the Glenties Community Centre, where the wonderful Parents Association will host festive refreshments. This is the perfect chance to mingle with friends and neighbours, share the holiday cheer, and enjoy the hospitality that makes this community so special. Adding to the excitement, the evening will also feature a raffle with fantastic hampers up for grabs, making it a night to remember.

In the spirit of sustainability and giving, Scoil Mhuire is also running a Christmas jumper and jammie swap in the fortnight leading up to Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of local families, there’s an incredible collection of festive jumpers and cozy pyjamas available for anyone who wishes to take part. Simply pop by, pick something you love, and spread the joy of the season.

Mark your calendars for this Thursday and join Scoil Mhuire for an evening that embodies the heart of Christmas: community, kindness, and celebration.
