Planning granted for new houses in Buncrana

The go-ahead has been given for six new houses in Buncrana in two separate developments.
Donegal County Council has granted planning permission with 13 conditions to
Sean Hegarty to build four semi-detached houses at development Tullyarvan.
One objection to the project was lodged which raised concerns about the safety of access to the site, especially for children who play in the area and also pointed out that the estate is completed and is "a thriving community" that does not "need additional houses".
Planners stated that the proposed private internal access road was acceptable and the principle of the development was considered to be acceptable.
Planning permission has also been granted to Ronald McGrory with 14 conditions for the construction of two semi-detached houses at Gransha. One objection was lodged which raised concerns about drainage issues at the site and the need for an archaeological dig due to the location of a site of significance close to the proposed development.
The council granted planning permission after receiving further information on the archaeological concerns and the issues about drainage.
