Both men and women are welcome to attend the Marie Keating Mobile Information Unit, which will be at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station on Thursday, December 11.

A Mobile Information Unit from the Marie Keating Foundation will be available at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station on Thursday, December 11, from 11am to 2pm.

Staffed by a specialist nurse, these mobile information units visit community groups, workplaces, organisations, and public spaces to bring vital cancer information directly into the heart of communities nationwide.

The Marie Keating Foundation aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and recognising the value of early detection in reducing cancer risk through this service.

The Foundation’s mission is to make cancer less frightening by enlightening, and their vision is to create a world free from the fear of cancer.

Today, the Marie Keating Foundation is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading voices for cancer prevention, awareness, and support.

Both men and women are welcome to avail of the fully confidential visit in Carrick-on-Shannon on December 11.

The Foundation operates three purpose-built mobile information units that travel across Ireland, delivering life-saving messages of prevention and early detection to as many people as possible.
